The 'Fisherman's Coordinates' is a heartfelt version of the memorial statue in Gloucester for fisherman that were lost at sea. Engraved on the plaque in front of the statue honors the fishermen: "THEY THAT GO DOWN TO THE SEA IN SHIPS".
There are still many fishermen to this day going far out of the harbor in order to make a living, provide for their family and community. They risk their lives daily for us.
I hope enjoy this piece I cut, carved, sanded, woodburned, painted and sealed this wood.
